The Stonefish. Synanceia verrucosa in latin.
It is a carnivorous ray-finned fish with venomous spines.
It lives on reef bottoms camouflaged as a rock.
It is the most venomous fish in the world!
The fish is extremely well camouflaged and care should be taken to avoid stepping on it. The venom can be fatal.
Photographed in the Red Sea in Jordan.

Thank you! I stay safe but not going too close, using the camera zoom. But this in in the Red Sea of Jordan, the fish was only 1 meter (3 feet) from me, and I almost didnt see it first. I decided to not be too close to the bottom. Just in case...
